Management Plan
Part 1 Dick Sporting goods is a family owed sports store that has been around since 1947.
Dicks provide a service to athletes and people who love the outdoors. The industry Dicks
Sporting Goods operate in is customer service industry. One competitive advantage Dicks has is that they’re the biggest competitor in their market. One disadvantage is inventory control. Not having what a customer wants at the right time. Some of the key people in this organization are Edward Stack CEO and Timothy Kullman senior vice president. Social responsibility is the obligation of an organization to serve the interest of society in addition to its own interest. Dicks shows social responsibility by raising money for ST. Judah.
The Economic environment has some effaced on dicks. Do to the current state of the economy they had to cut employees which increased the unemployment rate. Dick Sporting Goods has employees from ages 18 to 60 and people from many different backgrounds making them have a very diverse sociocultural environment. The uses of hand held computer to check prices and to keep track of inventory is tied to technological environment. Dick’s practice being green by using recycle bins and recycle all the paper and boxes they use to protect the natural environment. In what way doses the legal political environment impact dicks? Because Dicks sale firearms their employees have to be 18 and older. Dicks Sporting Goods also have to by law do background checks on everyone who want to punchers a firearm.

Part2 In order for an organization to be successful it has to have some type of structure.
Dick’s uses a departmentalization structure. This means the process of grouping people and jobs into work units. To use this process to their advantage, Dick’s employees are split up into group and put in areas they are experts in. For example a running
