America. The name itself strikes awe into the hearts of its citizens. When I see the red, white, and blue waving in the air, I do not think of a country. I think of the best country. The country made out of nothing, and built upon until made magnificent. The country that I call home. The country that gave my family everything; careers, a house, a place to start a new life. When the citizens of the United States think of America, they often tend to forget our ancestors’ struggles to get us here. George Washington, Paul Revere, Nathan Hale, and Thomas Jefferson were all people who founded our country out of 3 morals: Bravery, perseverance, and ambition. However, trouble was always arising. Throughout it all, our soldiers and citizens stuck through it together. We never let our chins down, always kept our heads up. When the civil war came around, the country was split up. Did we let it last? No! We fought for the right causes and eventually, when Martin Luther King Jr. came around, all people became equal. We overcame all failures and struggles. Today, the USA obtains people of all races, ethnicities, and cultures. We are the most diverse country in the entire world. So many people come to the USA to follow the American Dream, which is based on the philosophy that with hard work, anything can happen. An example is that my parents moved to America from India for a better life. In other countries people might live in fear or be wary, but I am proud to say that our country does not. The people of the USA will always be safe because we stand tall together, through thick and thin. I know that our army, navy, marines, coast guard, and air force will protect me and my fellow citizens. And after all this, the America that I know is the land of the free and home of the brave.
