Spain became the richest and most powerful county in the world thanks to its colonies in North, Central, and South America. After successfully colonizing the west indies they expanded into North and South America spreading culture, religion, and disease. Spaniards enslaved, killed, and passively slaughtered the vast majority natives in the vast marshes and jungles they conquered. After pacifing the locals they proceded to strip the land of its natural resources and add it to their own wealth.
