“This is the first year we are doing this event, in the past we have always done a Luau to kick off the beginning of summer, but this year we decided to switch things up a bit.” Manager Tom Ecker states. “The one thing we realized is everyone has a little country in them and its one thing we've never done.”

It will cost $25 for a team of two. 100 percent of the proceeds will go the “Helping Hands from Hudson” an organization that raises funds for children battling cancer in our area. It was started in memory of Hudson Rinker, a child who lost his battle with the disease back in February 2009. Teams must per-register either by calling or stopping in.
A hayride will transport patrons to and from Homemade Days. That event is also planned for the same day. “Homemade days just happened.” Ecker states. “We were looking at two dates for this event, June 18th or the 25th. We thought hay rides in downtown would be a fun idea. and it just so happened that Homemade days were going on at the same time. After talking with Justin Simpson from the City Recreation Dept. he agreed tying the two events together made a lot of sense.
