CSC 316 – Database Systems I
Professor: Michael J. Pelosi

Database Systems 1 was a subject that I truly enjoyed participating in. The very first day of the class I realized that this was going to be a course that I would learn a lot from and would be able to see the connections that this course has to all aspects of the world. Through the combined knowledge this course provided me I will be able to apply more convincing and substantial arguments towards everything that I do. This course has provided me a base for the rest of my computer science career and helped me develop time management and research skills.
The work that I did during this course seemed pretty well thought-out and is reflected by my grades. I could have however applied more critical thinking and time in some assignments. The only way this would have been possible for me would have been if I were a full time student and had more time management skills. Some of my assignments may have seemed rushed due to my current work load and but over all I think my effort was the best possible at this time. I did not feel like there were any topics that I did not understand however there were some aspects of my assignment in module 1 that I overlooked; but overall I understood the material and could only improve this course through better discussions.
In the future I will be able to apply what I have learned in this course to my work and it will help me gain career progression. I believe that I have achieved all the course objectives as outlined in the syllabus.
