Culture: Fraternity And Sorority
Culture is how a group of people share the same beliefs and values. Cultures pass on these values and beliefs from generation to generation. “Cultures grow and change very slowly, and have many means of protecting themselves” (Wrench, McCroskey, & Richmond, 2008).
I feel that a fraternity and a sorority are indeed cultures. They have set values and beliefs that are passed on from old members to new members. When the new pledges come into the Greek culture, they are expected to act a certain way and to keep the secrets of their brothers and sisters.
