The need for using ones signature to sign legal documents is becoming obsolete. The development of thumbprint scanning or even password protection has become even more secure than a signature. Signatures can be easily forged and often times are not even viewed for varification. Thumbprints are unique to every individual and are there for far less likely to be faked.
The article "Cursive Is a Powerful Brain Tool" claims that writing by hand helps students retain information better than typing. Though this may be true, a student can type more of the information on a computer than he or she would by writing it. Having more notes and more detailed information to look back on later would have to out weigh the benifit of absorbing the information thru writing it. …show more content…
Very rarely is any business done on paper anymore. It is far easier to type an email to a coworker than to grab a pencil and write it on paper.
Cursive was a benificial skill to have in the passed. However, the continuing advancements in technology and the ability to type quickly has made cursive writing an unnecessary skill. Computers are our future and there for should be a higher focus of education than cursive
