DTMS records for training for the 545 TC and subordinate units (i.e. 605, 163, and 168). Specifically annual and periodic trainings records for the last 12 months. In addition, a review of the status of company and vessel SOPs on the vessels.
RESULTS:
1. As of now, 168 TD Training schedule captures METLs. On 11/10/18, SGT Green, 168 TD, sent me a copy of their 1st QTR 2018 calendar (see File II B-4-5-12, 1QTR FY18) which I believe based on its structure and format to be published from DTMS. The document provided do not specifically address TDIs but does capture planned METLs.
ISSUE: Per CW2 Carter, the METLs tasks completed are not recorded in the log book. Also, completed METLs are not recorded in DTMS. CW3 Zabler states that AARs are completed after every mission (see File II B-4-8-1.) Upon review of the AAR …show more content…
545 reviews of METLs in DTMS. Per CPT Darrencamp, he states "If I understand this correctly – as stated earlier, I have access to view all training in DTMS; that is one method. 7. Did the Vessel Master(s) identify all required individual and unit training per AR 56-9 in DTMS: Overall, no.
• 163rd - CW3 Allen states that he follows the requirements listed in AR 56-9; however, the data is not captured anywhere except in the front pages of the logbook (i.e. TDIs.)
• 168th - The training schedules provided do not identify TDIs. They are found in the beginning of logbook and captured in a list by task, month, and day of completion.
• 605th - Required training/TDI: There is NO quarterly guidance from the battalion; likewise, they have developed their own training plan (sources: example ARTEP.)
8. Do the Vessel master(s) input and schedule training in DTMS - Overall answer is no.
• 163rd - The unit is entering training data except TDIs in DTMS.
• 168th - No TDIs are captured in
