Deep Purple, a british band formed in Hertford, England in 1963 started as a modern rock band, however later transitioned to a heavy metal band in 1970. As one of the pioneers of rock, alongside with their two unholy trinity brothers Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath; the band start a new sound that can only be describe as something that should be felt not heard.
Deep Purple music could never be categorized as one type of music, because of their evolution into different genres. The band touched upon many different style in their music for example art rock, blues and psychedelia. …show more content…
Selling over 100 million albums, and performing to 10 million people the band was on the road to success. In 1972 the band won an award for globe's loudest band from the guinness world records.
