According to Global Burden of Disease, depression is the forth-leading contributor in study of 1990. (Brooks, 2013) Due to stresses, interpersonal relationships or family problems could easily cause depression. Apparently, the rate of depression is still gradually increasing and humans are worried if he or she or someone they love would be diagnosed in depression especially in population of adults. It begins with collecting the history of the client’s problem and determining if systematic desensitization is a proper treatment. According to different conditions, desensitization could be appropriate or inappropriate. Going next is briefing the client about the problem faced and the rationale for systematic desensitization. Following up with the relaxation training and the development of anxiety hierarchy come up together. Releasing the tensed muscle, deep breathing to make the client calm and relax.
