Whenever I would think of health and wellness, my mind would always revert back to just being sick or being in shape. I have learned that it is much more to it than just that. Health and wellness is more of being in a state of total social, mental, and physical wellbeing. Factors such as the environment, social life, emotions, spirituality, and physicality all play a role in one’s health. In order to life fully with meaning, these dimensions are a very important part of our health. Physical health deals with body size and shape. Social health is more of how you deal…

Emotional health: My mental health is a piece of my emotional health. For me staying grounded and balanced in life and work is crucial to my over all wellness. Balancing school, work and home life is important to me. Making sure that I am able to share my thoughts and feelings in an appropriate manner is important.…
Wellness is “an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence” through the balance of spiritual, occupational, social, physical, intellectual and emotional dimensions (National Wellness Institute, 2014, para. 6). Wellness is a vital concept for everyone in order to have a healthy lifestyle, a good physical and mental health, improve personal relationships, as well as increase satisfaction and joy (Iona College, 2014). Wellness programs have defined as programs committed to promote and enhance the physical, interpersonal, emotional, and spiritual wellness of students by offering a multitude of resources, activities, and programs to assist students in functioning optimally across all dimensions of their lives (Iona College,…
With-in the Emergent Leadership Issues chapter of Course 15 there is a concept called the 4-Dimentions of Wellness. In those dimensions of wellness are 4 areas that should be worked on. Those areas are emotional, physical, spiritual and social wellness. I value this concept because I have dealt with many Airmen myself who were lacking in these areas and I have certainly struggle with a few areas of wellness. For me it is important to understand how to make each area stronger in order to be ready to performance the mission at a moment’s notice. It is also important for me as a leader to ensure my team is ready to go at a moment’s notice and having all areas of wellness squared away certainly helps with that.…

Wellness includes five main categories, which are physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual development. To maintain satisfactory health, it is essential that we go to great lengths to maintain wealthy conditions in all of those areas. I am evaluating my performances in every single part, and it came to my realisation while my spiritual health is the strongest, my physical health is the weakest, which is actually one score apart from my social health.…
The United states of America has been built upon freedom of speech and criticizing the Government. As a matter fact, these freedoms have been the reason for the people to gather and announce their ideas to the public and the government. These group were with America from its origin, and even James Madison in the Federalist number 10 had mentioned about these factions. He believed that these factions are not good, but they are inevitable and necessary for the democracy (Federalist 10). Likewise, at this time we know those factions as interest groups, and there are many of them in the state of Texas that are daily changing or affecting a law that is getting passed by the representatives. Obviously, these effects have its pros and cons in the legislative branch of the state of Texas.…
“Wellness seeks more than the absence of illness; it searches for new levels of excellence. Beyond any disease-free neutral point, wellness dedicates its efforts to our total well-being – in body, mind, and spirit,” stated professional wellness speaker none other than Greg Anderson. Before my first day as a Wellness and Programming Administration student, I have not dedicated as much time to thinking about the prospective idea of wellness as a whole in all of its dimensions. For my needs assessment assignment, I learned about two very similar yet different professional treatment facilities and their current ideas of wellness.…

In the initial stage of group development, members begin to develop their relationship with one another and learn what is expected of them. Group members rely on safe, patterned behaviour and look to the group leader for guidance and direction. Group members have a desire for acceptance by the group and a need to be known that the group is safe (Corey, 1995). They set about gathering impressions and data about the similarities and differences among them and forming preferences for future subgrouping. Rules of behaviour seem to be to keep things simple and to avoid controversy. Serious topics and feelings are avoided.…
