Distracted Driving Research Paper

While learning about driving statistics I was surprised at how many teenagers die on
Utah highways because they ran off the road. I honestly would have thought that the most deaths on Utah highways involving teenagers would have been driver distraction, or speeding too fast. Distracted driving I think is a very big problem and it keeps getting bigger. Distracted driving is a choice people are making that is either harming themselves or others around them, and it also is causing many deaths as well. Thousands of people are injured every year, just because they are easily distracted by others in the car, texting, talking on the phone, and other things that are going to catch up to them, and they have a high risk of injuring themselves or
others.
Distracted driving is costing the drivers, other families thousands of dollars just because they are selfish, and don’t think that they will harm anyone. It doesn’t surprise me that teens age 15-19 have the most crashes out of any other age group. One of the main causes people are distracted in my opinion are cell phones, and other people in the car with them. Teens now day’s are attached to their phones just because they think that they need to let people know where they are at all times.
