It is my assessment that the incident which causes a sharp shift in Dixie’s perspective is when at thirteen years old a group of students whom she envied invited her to the carnival and did not thank her grandfather for giving them a ride nor waited for her when they got out of the car.
This experience opened her eyes to how petty and rude the girls she envied really were. She realized she was better not having friends like them and that she was raised with better morals and values.

The most memorable incident was when I was at government building waiting in line to get in to a specific area to conduct business. Initially, there was a gaggle of people standing outside until someone stood at a specific point that appeared to be a logical entrance to get in. Then people blindly began to form a line behind the individual as they came up. I thought this was funny because I noticed a small sign that was not very visible which gave direction to where the line should form and the current line was the exit not the entrance. I moved over to the entrance where the line should have been and watched without saying anything. After a few minutes’ people began to form behind me. Like the caterpillars in this situation the people without thought or hesitation began to form a line behind one leader at a time. I have also seen many similar situations in amusement parks and in traffic around my city. I believe one of many things that make humans unique is what can make them rise to an occasion or persevere. Many events can make a person rise to leadership. Sometimes it is trained and instilled through military, business, or other leadership training and other times it is a traumatic event like 9-11. There has been many tragic event where people have risen to leadership over the past several years. I also believe some people are raised and just have it in them to take
