When most people hear Italian food, they think that it is synonymous with Pizza (or pasta). But, it would be weird for all of Italy to only chow down on these two dishes everyday. The Italian menu is a smorgasbord of tasty meals, and La Vera offers the same variety of dishes in their menu. Want Italian but not in the mood for pizza? Try some of these delicious alternatives.

1. Appetizers

La Vera features some great appetizers, which can also double as a delicious meal. If you aren’t quite hungry yet but want to nibble on something, the starter menu has lots of choices. From meatballs and BBQ pork sliders to

Soups

What’s better on a chilly fall day than a creamy soup at La Vera. The New England Clam Chowder alone sounds amazing.

4. Calzones

Another Italian staple, calzones make a great alternative to pizza. They still have the crust and the cheese, but what’s great about this dish is that it is loaded with delicious toppings. While it lacks the tomato sauce that makes pizza great, a side of marinara can fix that problem. La Vera puts their own spin on the traditional Calzone by adding ingredients such as prosciutto and fresh basil.

5. Pasta
La Vera has a plethora of delicious pasta dinners for you and your family. You can choose from 11 different sorts and can opt for the large plate or the “Piccolino.” If you make dinner a recurring tradition, than you can try a new dish every visit. Or, each person can order a different one and everyone can taste each others. After all, sharing is caring.

6. Paninis
The panini has become quite the popular food in America, so it isn’t surprising that La Vera has also produced some tasty options for the people of Sonoma County. You can choose from the following choices during your next visit:
Chicken Pesto
Prosciutto Caprese
Grilled Steak
The Garden
Meatball
Gyro
