Dog To Work
I greatly agree with the "Bringing Your Dog to Work" program. I believe that it will bring peace of mind to dog owners to have their K-9 with them. As someone stated in support of the program "Researchers have found that when pet owners interact with their dogs, they expience a sense of well-being and feel less stress and anxiety". In my personal expirence when I have my dog with me while I am at work, I feel less stressed and worried through out the day about her being home alone for a great length of time. And not only that but as a bouns, those I work with also enjoy having her around. Plus the overall mood and atmesphare is greatly imporved through out the day. Some may say that dogs can be a distraction and cause problems and …show more content…
And for those who are looking to work at a place that allows dogs should be notified so that they can prepare themselves accordingly or to decide not to take the job. As I had said before, having dogs in the work place is a very good stress reliver for others as well. Being able to take ones mind off of something that may be stressful on them, and just have a breif moment to relax and gather their thoughts, may help them through what ever is troubling them in the first place. I know this has helped me at times. On a few occations, I had some really bad days dealing with someone I work with, I believe we all know someone we clash with at some point, and my dog Jun had come up to me and sat next to me and I took a breather and just loved on her and she was able to calm me down enough to finish the day with my co-worker without too much trouble. So in conclusion, yes, having dogs around in the work place is a geat idea; and that more jobs should have. It greatly improves ones stess and anxiety levels for the better. As well as helping people get through their

Most people are unaware of all the good things that Pit Bulls were primarily trained for and what they are capable of. Did you know that Pit Bulls can provide a wide variety of job-related tasks? It’s true. “Many Pit Bulls are not just family companions, but also search and rescue dogs that find missing children and lost dementia patients. Also, they are seizure watch dogs, diabetic alert dogs, comfort nursing home residents and offer a plethora of services to human counterparts” (The Problem). If they were to get rid of Pit Bulls all together, that would not only take them away from people who have them as their household pet, but it would tremendously affect the number of individuals who use this breed of dog for help.…

Throughout the ages, it has been believed that fate has the power to forge one’s destiny. By some uncontrollable force, the outcome of a person’s choices is controlled by the way in which they are destined to occur. On the other hand though, some believe these choices can defy fate and that fate only manipulates one's mind into choosing their own path. One question that seemed to pop into my head through out this play was whether individuals were victims of fate or their I own choices, or if each aspect plays a significant part in determining their destiny. In the play Macbeth, William Shakespeare plays around with the idea of fate, placing the destiny of Macbeth before him, yet allowing his own ambitions and desires to drive him insane in order to achieve it. However, at the beginning of the play, Macbeth is portrayed as a good man. Yet he decides to commit, not one or to two, but a series of bad actions that only he had the power to control.…

I believe that dogs should not be allowed at work for many reasons, First of all, some dogs do not know how to behave themselves in public areas, such as work or the office. If a dog bites someone or hurt someone, the injured person can sue the company or the dog owner. Secondly, if a dog is allowed in a work enviroment then the company will have to make sure that all of their employees are not allergic to dogs, and that means the company may have to fire and hire new people just to replace the old employees who were allergic to dogs. It just isnt fair to people who are allergic to dogs or just dont like dogs, because you could be the greatest worker for the company.…

“A dog is a man’s best friend”, is the expression people say when they find that during tough points in a person’s life an animal will always be there unconditionally to show comfort and support. The attachment that humans have with their pet is unquestionable, some people take their pets with them wherever they go, and even talk to their pets about what happened throughout the day or problems they are struggling with. Most animals are loyal to their owners and are always looking for attention, keeping their owners fit and exercised by going on walks or playing fetch or just going outside and getting fresh air. Therapists have thought of a way to bring that unconditional love, comfort, loyalty, and playfulness into the therapy room. Animal interactions during therapy sessions should be used because it increases overall health and happiness in the patient as well as secure a special bond between the client and the animal that will encourage and motivate them to come to therapy sessions.…

    1. What is your opinion on this issue? Provide two or three reasons to support your argument. I feel that only a person with a disability should be allowed to have a dog at work. A person who is just an owner of a dog should not be allowed to bring a dog into the workplace simply for the fact that a dog cannot be dependable or trustworthy of their actions. An employee may be uncomfortable when a dog comes into the workplace and start sniffing around them. The employee do not know what the dog will do if the employee becomes afraid of it. The animal and human bond has existed for more than 12,000 years (Morrison, 2007). In the United States, 62% of the population report having a companion animal (Risley-Cutiss, 2010). Research suggests that companion animals provide adults and children with a feeling of security and unconditional love (Risley-Curtiss, 2010). Families have a close relationship with the animal companion and he or she is considered part of the family. The pet is part of the dynamics of the family system. Pet ownership, or being in the presence of an animal, has shown many health benefits, including mental, social, physiological improvements (The Human-Companion Animal Bond, 2009). Research findings show the importance of incorporating animals in social work research, education, and practice (Risley-Curtiss, 2010).…
