Our newly elected president, Donald Trump has been using the social media for the wrong reasons and wrong reasons like bashing and attacking people.
Nowadays social media are being used in the educational system, business, and healthcare, but the use of social media has both, positive and negative effects. In an interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business Network, the president said “When somebody says something about me, I am able to go bing, bing, bing and I take care of it,” (Wagner, J. 2017), should the president of a country really care what other thinks about him? No, a president's job is to serve the country and the citizens rather than bashing other people. In average he tweets 5 times daily in which some of them are not related to the content. In addition, some of them contains spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes or even the letters are capitalized. As a leader and the highest position man in the country, he should think about those things he should be more formal. For example, this tweet from October 22, 2017 “It is finally sinking through. 46% OF PEOPLE BELIEVE MAJOR NATIONAL NEWS ORGS FABRICATE STORIES ABOUT ME. FAKE NEWS, even worse! Lost cred.” He thinks the presidency is a way to come into the spotlight by tweeting random stuff. As a leader of the country he should be a role model and think about whatever he

If there can be any objection to the administration, it can be the general disdain it has for reality. The President of the United States of America has employed the highest offense possible; he attempts to promote contradictory ideas at the same time and hold that they complement each other. Trump’s most important example should be his tone on the campaign trail. Trump’s campaign was run on two violently opposing ideas: that America is a perfect nation, that America is God’s nation, that America is the savior and protector of the world, America has the perfect culture that all nations should adopt, and our soldiers are the strongest, our products are the best, our land is the most beautiful, and that all nations should be subservient to American…

Though an extremely new medium, social media has seemed to completely alter the way Americans think, especially among the Millennial generation. It is another perfect example of how our lack of sense and reason has transformed something that was designed to increase our social capabilities into a way to rant, boast, and bully. Instead of using social media to communicate and connect positively, our society has used it to create countless issues and distractions that only deter and detract from developing our social…

Facebook isn’t just a place to see pictures of friends and family’s latest vacation, or to see what your sister-in-law cooked for dinner that night. It’s a place where news, messages, ideas, and funny cat videos can spread at the click of a button. Given that, on average, over 628 million people log on to facebook each day, it is a great website for advertisement. With these statistics, anyone trying to relay some type of message would be “stupid” to not use Facebook as a resource. With this in mind, the Facebook page of GOP front runner Donald Trump takes advantage of the use of Facebook to express his personal values, gain media exposure, and to acquire voter support for his presidential campaign through a use of image and text post strategies…

When it comes to communication, Donald Trump had a very unique approach. He does not “play it safe” at all. Instead, he is bold and rather casual in debates, and it works. Donald Trump is appealing to a younger crowd beginning with his communication strategy. He talks like he is in high school. He uses his words in a clear way where everyone can comprehend the message he is trying to get across. While it could potentially and did in fact offend people who find themselves more sophisticated, it appealed to the average person. Also, he has sort of mastered exploiting whoever his current opponent is. He proclaims whatever he wants about them, not paying much attention to the truth. For anyone who feels that they have lack of power or are voiceless,…

Donald Trump won his presidency over Hilary Clinton, winning the electoral vote but losing the popular vote by around 2.9 million votes. Knowing that the majority of Americans did not want Trump as President, it would make sense for Trump to handle the office with care, and work to gain the trust of the Americans who did not want him as their President. In the short 48 days since Trump has been President, it is safe to say that he does not care about the opinions of those who did not vote for him and those that did vote for him. He signs executive orders and appoints nominees without consideration. He makes every move based on his priorities, and not the rest of America.…

People love him and others hate him but some only know about him from what they see in the media. Which is why asking people questions to understand their views, and giving them knowledge on Donald Trump may help them understand why the media betrays Trump in such a negative way. Donald trump is criticized for the controversial comments he makes in the public eye, but mostly on his actions, and his actions can be seen as publicity stunts to get the media talking about him. After eight years of Obama administration, the United States has selected its next President, Donald J. Trump. As a Republican nominee, Trump has not only criticized the Obama administration’s domestic and foreign policy but also made offensive comments and statements on certain groups of people or countries, which was considered “outrageous” by many. His unfiltered speech with no political correctness has been attracting a lot of attention from all over the world with people both loving and despising his attitude. Even when his new approaches and ideas did not seem to be logical or well-thought, Trump succeeded in making half of the U.S. voters believe that he was the one to rebuild a better and stronger America. However, it seems very…

He is successful in mitigating face threatening acts to preserve a good self-image and he uses both positive and negative face in his speeches. Whenever his “face” seems to be threatened he violates the conversational maxims to avoid diminishing a good self-image. Sometimes he uses humour to preserve a good-self image. Humour was created mainly through creating particularised conversational implicatures, but he also violates the conversational maxims (mostly the maxim of quality) to provoke laughter. Moreover, it has been detected that Trump violates the maxim of quantity through stacked non-restrictive relative clauses.…
