Dr. Fritz Baumgartner's Argument Against Abortion
When abortion came to my knowledge in middle school, feelings of surprise and confusion swept over me. First of all, how can someone perform abortion? What machines did they use? Why did people make this legal?
Abortion should be stopped because life starts the moment of conception, because it is dangerous to the mother and the child, and many small lives die due to this idea of abortions.
All my life I thought and believed that there consists of life in the womb before conception. Today, doctors and scientists claim that life starts after the baby comes out of the womb. Science claims that cells are the smallest units of living organisms. When the two units become joined together, a new cell, a living organism, forms. This contradicts the statement that life happens for the baby after the woman conceives.
Dr. Fritz Baumgartner, MD, graduate from the UCLA School of Medicine, quoted in his

However, a child must be given a chance to live. Many alternative opinions exist other than abortion. The mother may put the child in an orphanage, foster care, adoption, and other areas that gladly accept babies that cannot be taken care of. Many centers for counseling and family planning consider these situations and help the mother receive advice, and possibly choices other than abortion.
About 56 million babies have been terminated since the law passed in 1973, Roe v. Wade. A war killed less individuals in battle than abortion.
During pregnancy, often times a mother experiences a jump inside the womb, or a kick from her baby. It cannot be defined that life starts after birth, because a movement of an organism becomes a clear sign that life exists inside. Why do parents also read or sing for the child before birth? A belief that life begins inside exists for the

Life begins at birth. At the moment when the sperm hits the egg, a new entity comes into existence. Zygote is the name of the first cell formed at conception, the earliest developmental stage of the human embryo, followed by the Morula and Blastocyst stages. Is it human? Is it alive? Is it just a cell or is it an actual organism, a being? These are logical questions. The zygote is composed of human DNA and other human molecules, so its nature is undeniably human and not…

The zygote cell is the first stage of the embryo. The zygote contains DNA from both parents which create a unique new identity that has never existed. That is the start of a baby, therefore a pregnancy is not just the woman and her body; new life has already begun since the zygote has the four criteria needed to establish biological life which include growth, metabolism, reaction to a stimuli, and reproduction. About 22 days after conception the baby’s heart begins to circulate its own blood and a heartbeat can be detected and by six weeks that same baby has facial features and brain activity has begun. By after just 10 short weeks, still in the first trimester, the baby can…

Every new life begins at conception. This is an irrefutable fact of biology. It is true for animals and true for humans. When considered alongside the law of biogenesis – that every species reproduces after its own kind – we can draw only one conclusion in regard to abortion. No matter what the circumstances of conception, no matter how far along in the pregnancy, abortion always ends the life of an individual human being. Every honest abortion advocate concedes this simple fact.…

The debate over whether abortion should be legal and to what point in the pregnancy it should be allowed has polarized many societies. Many religious preach that at the moment of conception, the new life is human and possesses a soul. Therefore, abortion is murder. Other, less extreme views, suggest the life is not human until there is a recognizable "completion of form." A third view proposes we have an obligation to create a good life for all children already born before we bring more unwanted children into the world.…

According to statistics provided by Guttmacher institute, “there were approximately 1.05 million abortions in the United States in 2012 alone” (Abortion Counters 4). To many, that might be just a number and it does not necessarily mean anything, but lets just take some time to think about how tremendously that number actually is. The image of 1.05 million lifeless, innocent premature babies is horrific, and many do not realize how sick and wrong it is. That number is more than just a statistic but it is the amount of lives that were ended way to early. As someone who stands for pro-life, aborting a baby is not something that should be an option so easily for women. Women nor anybody else should have the authority to end a child’s life prematurely.…

Killing the life of an innocent child is not the only alternative. Adoption is a wonderful alternative. With adoption you are not only giving life to a child but you are also giving a family the opportunity to care for this child. Many couples have complications with conceiving a child and often turn to adoption as their alternative. With 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child. With choosing adoption this will give women the mindset of knowing they did the right thing. Leaving no room for regrets.…

Life starts when two reproductive cells unite. It is false to say that life begins when a baby is born. If they aren’t alive, then why do women kill them? Babies start as a tiny embryo, and they grow and grow. They are born, then they keep growing into an infant, and then a child, and then eventually an adult. The only difference between the embryo in the womb, and the adult lots and lots of nutrition and say 20 years time. “Abortion (is) murder (because) the being inside the mother is living. The definition of something living includes the ability to grow, which is exactly what is going on inside a woman who is pregnant. An abortion ceases the growing process, therefore ending the future life of a human being. This little being may not start off with a heartbeat or brain activity, but cells are still dividing and allowing it to grow.” (Ross,…

One question that is often asked is “when does life begin?” Depending on who you are, this answer will greatly differ. I will stick to the facts, in my opinion, the facts will speak for themselves. According to Keith L. Moore, writer of Essentials of Human Embryology, "Human development begins after the union of male and female gametes or germ cells during a process known as fertilization (conception).” 18 days after conception the heart begins to beat and the growing baby can suck its thumb, 40 days after conception brainwaves have been recorded, and at only eight weeks all body systems are present. Sounds like a human life to me and considering abortion is completely legal during the first trimester or first 12 weeks it also sounds like murder. It is best written in Dr. Suess’ Horton Hears a Who “A person is a person no matter how small.”…

The babies of women who decide to kill are like an innocent person being sentenced to death for a crime they did not commit. Just as humans wish to live , and enjoy their life , sure enough the baby would like to deserve a chance at life.…

Over the past decades, women in America have been fighting for their rights. For example, on the 18th of August in 1920, women were granted the right to vote. Although women have gained many rights, they still today are fighting to keep their right to aborting a fetus within them. Many individuals see underlying issues with suppressing abortion. Abortion may cause more of an advantage than harm.…

One argument over whether or not abortion is morally wrong, lies within whether or not a mother is capable of taking care of the child. This argument specifically should be thrown out the window. One can make the selfless act and give the child a home in which they cannot provide, and a better life: adoption. When one adopts, they transfer all rights and responsibilities to the new parents. Couples who cannot reproduce properly…
