“The Drummer boy of Shiloh’ is about this 14 year old boy named Joby and hes has run away from home and joined the army. When he does this the army was headed off to war; so when he joins the army Joby becomes the drummer boy. While the army was sleeping the night before the battle Joby was laying there crying. As the general walked by; and saw Joby crying and stopped to talk to Joby. When he did the general said that Joby was the smart one; because Joby realized that he could die the next day. When his fellow army men were really excited and didn't realize that they were possibly going to die. So the other soldiers don't realize that they could die because of the male testosterones that are kicking in because of it being spring; and so they
