Web Servers A web server is an essential part in the success in e-commerce and cannot work without one. It holds a live copy of each web page which is on the companies website, this can be seen by anyone.
Browsers Browsers are only really used to view the websites on the internet. This is more of a necessity for the consumers rather than the company with the e-commerce website.
Server Software Server Software is basically all of the application software for the web server which makes it easier to upload web pages to the server more easily and more user friendly
Web Authoring tools Web authoring tools are also an essential when it comes to e-commerce. They are basically all the pieces of software that help the designer create the web pages for users to view and use.
Database System Database Systems for e-commerce are mainly used to back up all of the data for the company. This can include customer details, products on sale on other business information.
