My lips were cracked and red. I looked like I had already died.
“I wonder if anyone knows i’m out here.” I said to my self in a weak cracking voice.
“I wonder if anyone cares.”
My thought was interrupted when a large gull flew down and landed on my boat. It was thin and weak, much like me. Its marble eyes scanned the edges of the boat for any source of a meal.

I slipped into a dream that I was back on the boat. Music is playing, children are running and laughing. Then the dining hall falls silent. I hear the crackled distorted voice of the captain over the intercom.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. There has been a small accident that.
Please do not panic. I advise you all to make your way to the life boats as soon as possible where we will guide you to safety.”
Panic and fear, spread like a plague. Everyone was rushing for the boats.
I was woken to a seagull pecking my legs. The same one from before. The sun was just rising over the water. There was a sharp pain in my stomach, it felt as though someone had taken a rusty knife and stabbed me. My throat and mouth were dry and cracking, my eyes stung from the harsh sun and my skin was blistering and burnt. Thirst and hunger were driving me mad. My dehydrated brain bounced around my head like a pinball. I would lose consciousness at moments. I scanned the horizon for anything, a boat, land. I was losing hope. The thirst was unbearable. I leaned over the edge to get drink of water hoping it would just make the thirst go away for even a second. I scoop my hands into the shimmering blue water and slurp the
