I am writing to express my interest in a Corporate Development Internship at Equitable Bank. After attending a recent information session at Queen’s, I have found Equitable Bank’s tight-knit culture and focus on service initiatives particularly unique and impressive. I believe that my analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong business acumen will ensure an excellent fit within Equitable Bank’s culture.
As a student in the Queen’s Commerce program, I believe I have acquired the necessary skills to excel at Equitable Bank. I have developed strong oral and written communication skills through presentations and written deliverables, building on my experiences with public speaking in high school. In addition, I have demonstrated my ability
to work in a team environment as both a student leader and a team member, a skill necessary for success in the program. Lastly, I have developed my problem solving and analytical skills through Accounting and Statistics courses, as demonstrated by my outstanding academic performance despite a demanding schedule. I understand that these skills are necessary for success at Equitable Bank, and believe I will be able to make valuable contributions to the Equitable Bank team this summer.
In addition to academics, I have sought to pursue my interest and knowledge of finance through analyst positions on Limestone Capital and Queen’s Private Capital Group, two premiere student-run finance clubs at Queen’s. As part of my involvement, I completed training in financial modelling, developing the necessary skills to perform valuations. I have also demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills through regular stock pitch presentations and client deliverables. I believe my passion for finance will allow me to thrive at Equitable Bank this summer.
