Erin Mielzynski Essay
Erin Mielzynski is a professional Canadian Alpine Skier. She is taking part in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang this year and I hope her my very best. Let’s take a look at her life and see what it’s like to be a professional skier and how it feels to represent Canada at one of the most prestigious events of 2018!

Erin Mielzynski was born on May 23rd, 1990 in the city of Brampton. She is currently 27 years old and her birthday is coming up in a few months. Her parents names are Andrew Mielzynski and Heather Mielzynski. She has one sister named Jenna Mielzynski and she is a professional water skier. Erin lived with her parents till she was 19 and has always enjoyed living with them. She now currently lives in Collingwood, Ontario.

She always believes which is a huge part of her success because if she didn't believe she wouldn't be where she is right now. Her best finish was 1st in the world cup in 2012. That was when she started to catch attention from others and when she was starting to grow as an athlete and a person. In the 2014 Winter Olympics, she had not finished her Slalom race, which ripped her apart as she crossed the finish line. If she were a normal person, she probably would've given up and thought about her life without athletics, but skiing was her passion and she wasn’t going to let that stop her. She believed that she can do better than she has done before and she did. In the 2018 Winter Olympics she placed 11th in the Women's Slalom! This was her personal best at the Olympics and was just shy of the top 10. She explained to CBC news that she wanted to represent Canada and she believed she can.
