“At a time when weight-related illnesses in children are escalating, schools are serving kids the very foods that lead to obesity, diabetes, and heart disease”(Yeoman). Despite the fact that school lunches are affecting children's growth, people say that school lunches are trying to balance out how much healthy and unhealthy foods are given. “Now, with the first lady’s new laws, a new study has not only dismantled that notion but also found meals at school have indeed become more nutritionally wholesome.”(SunJalonick), but as the same source says our new president would like to “remake school lunches into his fast-food favorites of burgers and fried chicken”.
