Evil in Society
Society as a whole can be evil or kind, but people show evilness in modern society more often than kindness. Everyone has a decision whether or not to do something evil, but people choose to do the wrong things because they have a thoughtlessness attitude, and their inconsequential feelings of others. People display evilness in modern society and examples include the Newtown shooting, the suicide of Tyler Clementi and the Ponzi scheme Bernard Madoff started. School shootings are occurring far too often in the United States of America. Many incidents have been occurring as well in Newton Connecticut an incident recently occurred which was an act of pure evilness. “Police on Sunday said 20- year-old Adam Lanza was armed with a high powered rifle, two handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition when he forcibly entered a Newtown, Conn., elementary school and proceeded to gun down 20 young students and six faculty members” (Neuman 1). December fourteenth 2013, Lanza forcibly entered Sandy Hook Elementary School with a rifle and handguns and brutally murdered twenty children and six faculty members. This shows evilness because Adam Lanza killed innocent children and teachers. These children and faculty members did not do anything to have their lives ended so quickly. The children and faculty members that were murdered would of never thought this was going to happen. The children had such a long life ahead of them they were never able to experience anything. A man that you could of said was mentally unstable and showed signs of a person that would be capable of doing something like this but with a mother that loves you and cares for you would not think he would do this. Before he came to the elementary school he shot his mother in the face. That shows pure evilness because how could a person kill the woman that gave birth to them and kill innocent children and faculty members. The government and media have a huge impact on modern
