Revision 2
Premise
We're going to reexamine the Bob's Auto scenario. This time, we're going to follow up with Bob the next day, when he calls his suppliers to get his supplies, only to find out that they are going to take a week each to come in. He has ordered a part for the Transmission work with Alice, and he has also ordered a can of paint for the Detailing on Carol's. He needs to adjust his schedule to account for these rescheduling delays.
Instructions 1. Open the EX 04 - Base.mpp file from the folder on ANGEL. You will start with this schedule, and modify it to accomplish this exercise. Save your final submission as ex4_LASTNAME.mpp (replacing LASTNAME with your lastname).
2. Set your new tasks to default to Auto-Schedule: With MSProject opening the file mentioned above, looks at the bottom of the window, in the lower left. There will be some text that says "ready" and to the right of that is some text and an icon you can click on. If it says "New Tasks: Manually Scheduled" change it to the autoschedule option by clicking on it, and selecting auto from the list.
3. You are going to add two new tasks, and because everything is set to Auto-Schedule, your entire projects timelines will shift to accommodate the new tasks
1. Task 1: Create a task for Alice's Car, entitled "Order Part". Set it's duration to 7 days. Set it as the predecessor to the "Transmission" task that is already there. Make sure that "Order Part" is included under the "Alice Summary" element. If you have done this right, Alice's summary should show an increased number of days till her milestone.
2. Task 2: Create a task for Carol's Truck, entitled "Order Special Detailing Paint". Set it's duration to 7 days. Set it as the predecessor to the "Detailing" task that is already there. Ensure that "Order Special Detailing Paint" is scheduled in parallel with "Paint" and "Paint Dry" tasks, and that those tasks do not wait on this separate task. Make sure that
