Example Essay #3 World History
Essay #3
Some say that the change from middle school to high school is the biggest change in one’s life. And while some things such as having multiple teachers stays the same, the responsibility and freedom is much greater. With more options, students must decide what’s best for themselves.
One of the main similarities between middle and high school is that both have different teachers for each class. Before middle school, students would only have one teacher from whom they would learn all subjects from, but in middle and high, each subject is taught by specific teachers. This exists because teachers that are specialized in one field are needed at these levels of education. With the different teachers come a lot of stress of what to do for each class and also a lot of responsibility.
While there are some similar features between middle and high school, there are a lot more differences, the most significant being the responsibility. In middle school, teachers sort of held ones hand through everything, helped you out with things and let stuff slide. In high school, one must fend for themselves. Teachers don’t let you know if you need to turn in an assignment. Or constantly remind you of what you have to do. They expect you to know what to do. For example, when one is absent, most teachers will expect one to get the notes and homework from a friend or other means the teacher has. In middle school, the teacher would tell you when you came back. Another thing is classes, there are so many classes that the school offers and you, as a student, have to figure out what classes are needed and what classes can be taken for fun.
To recapitulate, the difference between middle and high school is far bigger than it looks, students have more freedom but also more responsibilities. Students have to start doing things on their own and really take charge of their lives. But even though they are so different the basic structures are

To begin with, Stonecreek did not have nearly as much responsibilities as high school does. At Stonecreek there wasn’t nearly as much homework and projects that you had to complete. There was so much less that you had to do. Another thing is that at junior high, if u were failing, the teachers would make you come and get help. But at high school, if you are not doing well in a class, you have to be the one to find help and tutors.…

I see high school as deeper work, more responsibility, and more homework. The teachers are a lot harder on you. In high school, you get more freedom than in middle school because you’re older. There is harder work because the standards are higher. There is more responsibility because the teachers think you can do it and you have to keep up with more books and stuff.…

Starting high school was a terrifying idea to me. Different teachers, class times, lockers, drama! I remember that I always looked up to my older sister while she was in high school. She had tons of friends, played sports, participated in student government, and went out for the school play. I wanted to be just like her when I started high school. In middle school, I lined myself up for this, I played soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter. I helped out in the school plays, and I joined the student government. I had a group of great friends, and thought nothing bad was going to happen.…

Middle school was really weird time for me. It seemed like it was the most dramatic / drama filled. Our school at St. Peters was messed up, anything that could happen did. I've had teacher come up to me and ask for answers to what happened. Students doing bad things and etc. Also middle school to me was so fun, because people who I like got in trouble because of me. If you weren't my friend at St. Peters you better hope that you weren't mean to me, because if you were the teachers would find out what you did and they get in trouble.…

Middle school is awesome! In the transition from elementary to middle school, it can be tough, but you will make it! One major change is having six new teachers with different rules. For example, Mrs. Provost lets you listen to any school appropriate music, Mrs. Buggy only lets you listen to Josh Groban, and some teachers don’t let you listen to music at all! Teachers have a lot of differences, but they also have a lot in common too!…

High school is a different experience for everyone. The first three years really blend together and do not seem important, but senior year is completely different. Freshman year was full of confusion, learning an array of new things. Sophomore year was where life started to get fun and you “belonged” in the high school. Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration. Senior year is where it all becomes worth it and the rest of your life is finally going to begin.…

A- One area of difference is the method of teaching. First of all, high school teachers instruct to students from A to Z. For example, if students can not do any difficult exercises, they will show answers in detail. In contrast, the method in the university is guide what the students can not understand. Because they do not want their students to depend on them. Second of all, the teachers in high school use chalk to teach during their lesson.
