As the future comes closer, you start to realize all the opportunities and requirements for specific careers. After years of consideration, I decided to pursue an occupation in the science/medical field and become a physiotherapist.
Practicing medicine is a long term goal of mine since in the medical field, you are providing a service for a patient. But unlike other services such as one in a retail store, medicine is vital to a person's health and in addition, it is something that is evolving as technology advances. It would be a dream come true to see people no longer having to suffer physically and emotionally from an illness and to hasten the process of healing. I specifically want to become a physiotherapist because it is almost like magic; the ability to heal patients through exercise. It is fascinating how simple exercises could affect the time it takes to heal, the resulting appearance of your injury, and other factors of recovery, much different from what injections or pills can do. …show more content…
As a physiotherapist, your daily tasks includes working side by side with patients, communicating to them about specific procedures, educating them about their health, and checking up on them to ensure their safety and process is going the right direction. In other words, a physiotherapist requires a social and understanding person. That being said, I consider myself to be an interpersonal person who is enthusiastic, empathic, and optimistic when working individually or collectively. I aspire to become a physiotherapist in the future as my long term career
