to make fun of, since I always end up embarrassing myself. As a daughter, I always try to make my parents proud, whether it be for getting a good grade or making a delicious dinner. Every year my family goes on vacation and we always see many different types of people. Seeing the different people taught me to be more open and patient with others. I have had many experiences that have shaped who I am, whether they have been good or bad. I can recall one time when I was so mad at my dad because I couldn’t ride my bike without training wheels on my own, that the anger is what pushed me to ride around the yard all on my own. Other times it was just my mom telling me not to do something. For instance, one time she was ironing clothes and told me not to touch the iron, but what I do, touched the iron like any child would and burnt myself. That taught me that I should always listen to what my mother says, so I won’t get hurt. When I was eight years old, my parents told me that I could get a dog, he taught me about love and responsibility. Having a dog taught me how to care for another living creature and how to love unconditionally, even when he gets annoying sometimes.
There are many different people and experiences that have shaped me into who I am today. My family and friends taught me about laughter and love, while my experiences taught me about patience and listening. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without all of these things, and for these I am grateful.
