There are a great deal of beliefs that I have about this world, how to live, how to act, how me think. First as human beings we are emotional as well has rational beings. The events that occur in life are not meant to be bottled up, but need to be felt, lived and learned from.…
Through reading about the trait theories of personality I got a chance to look into myself to see what my families generations passed down to me. These are some of the things that make me who I am as an individual and inspire my morals and beliefs. Now, I know who I am and what made me to come be the person I am today.…
is a reason for everything that happens in life whether it’s good or bad. Having to accept the fact…
I strongly believe in Aristotle’s words of “everything happens for a reason.” I do have belief that random chance exists because I think we can change our design. The way I can prove this through a first hand experience. My family and I were getting dinner from Whole Foods and then my brother decided to go to Barnes and Noble to read a book. He made us stay 5 extra minutes, and on the way home, we got into an accident. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but I think it was random chance for us to get hit by that women, but it was all apart of the plan for us to stay later at Barnes and Noble. There was a sequence of events that had to go in order like him wanting to Barnes and Noble and stay extra, which then led to the accident. That is also the…
Describe the individual factors that make a person who they are, by giving examples of each of the following factors…
Up until this point, my life has been particularly uneventful. After my father was stationed at Fort Indian Town Gap, my family moved to the small town of Annville Pennsylvania when I was five. Being that there was not much to do in such a small farm town, I started to join clubs in middle school in order to occupy my time. Through these clubs I completely changed. I transformed into a person who is a leader and is confident in their own abilities.…
The origin of our Universe is best explained by the Big Bang Theory. It states that our universe began some 13 billion years ago from a primordial point containing millions of particles that are still expanding today. Through the scientific method and observations, we can conclude this is the most accurate explanation of how everything started. However, I also believe that it’s very coincidental that this universe ever had a chance at surviving. Science can explain that if there had been one less or one more particle out of the millions and millions that produced the big bang that out universe would not be able to support life. This idea gives me hope that there is a purpose of the human race and that our universe may not only made up of material matter but possibly something mystical as well.…
I belief that whatever you put your mind to it doesn’t matter where you are or who you are, you can achieve it. The reason I have this believe started when I was a child back home in Africa. When I was at the age of 7 I believed that one day I will graduate from high school, and become a great soccer player. In my hometown in west Africa if you’re a high school graduate it’s a huge thing, not many of my friends when to school because most of them don’t have the money to pay for their tuitions, even some that have the support from their parents were not willing to go to school. With my goal of becoming a high school graduate I took a job at a restaurant, my job at the restaurant was a waiter, calculate goods every week, and see how much profits we make, with this job I use to get paid five hundred dollar a month. Five hundred dollars in Zwedru my hometown can do lots of things, you can pay for a whole semester, rent an apartment, buy food and clothes. While I was working at the restaurant when I got paid every month I used to keep money aside for my tuition, I did not pay rent because I was living with my parents, and I used to…
After a long while of thinking about what I believe in, I finally found the solution. I believe in cookies. Well, now you’re probably thinking this is some kind of dumb joke and that I’m not being sincere. But, it’s not what you think. Now you’re more than likely waiting for some sort of symbolism about cookies and their delicious, crispy edges. But no, we’re talking real cookies, right out of the oven, fresh off of the cookie sheet.…
to Job. Job is a blameless up right man, like no other on earth that fears God…
When I was in first grade, my father was deployed to Iraq. My whole world changed. We moved to Utah to live with my grandparents while my mother was pregnant. It took forever for my dad to return from war. I missed him so much, especially during the holidays. When my dad came back to the States, I thought that things would be better and that our family would be whole again. Two years later, my parents got divorced. My dad was suffering from PTSD and fell into addiction. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression while my mother was trying her best to raise us on her own and earn her master's degree. I felt that my whole life was falling apart in front of me. These struggles have made me who I am. I have learned to be more compassionate towards…
These past experiences and accomplishments stuck with me and they remind me of the type of person I am. I learned from them because that’s what I want to pursue in my everyday life. Along the way, the areas that I need to grow in have come up through the years and they also show the person I am today. When I put someone before me, it makes me feel proud when someone can count on…
I believe in patience. In 5th grade I was given the opportunity to get a dog. My family and I went to a local breeder who was selling baby yellow labs. I walked to a cage with seven little pups and a mother. All of the puppies were feeding on the mother except one, Bronco. At first I felt bad because I thought he was starving and was left out. But the more I observed, the more I realized he was just patiently waiting his turn. I went up to him and he kindly licked my hand. I learned something that day.…
I aforesaid all this to say that I would not change my childhood experience because I am proud of what I become today. Every negative event from childhood, I have internalized them, and turned into something positive because I made a promise to myself that I will not be anything that will prompt my future children to have a similar childhood as mine. In turn, I became mature at a young age, and more grateful everything I have earned or have in my life. I only desire to have a high prestige as an adult. In conclusion, I am because I have a desire to improve on what I was…
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “To be yourself in a world that is trying to make you something else is a great accomplishment”. A question such as “who am I”? Really gives me the opportunity to differentiate and express who I really am and who I can be. I am not a complex person who thinks the world is against me, nor am I overly sophisticated “know-it-all” who doesn't take time to pay attention to my surroundings. I can't say that I am like every other person because there are certain things that make me a unique individual. What I can say is that I am progressing towards a brighter future.…
