First, the Honors College’s rigorous academics will prepare me for a career in accounting and continue to mold me into a critical-thinker and
goal-oriented individual, who seeks to thrive in every task. Likewise, such academics will allow me to partake in internships, thus, refining my vocational skills while acquiring real world, hands on experience. In regards to instructors, they will serve as means of inspiration and challenge me to think beyond conventional ideas. Furthermore, the cohort setting of the Honors College will expose me to positive, like minded individuals, who refuse to conform to mediocrity. Lastly, its multicultural study abroad programs will allow me to obtain a greater understanding of other cultures’ business practices and become a well-versed individual.
In essence, an education at the Honors College will provide me with the necessary knowledge and experience required to succeed in today’s ever changing business world. In conjunction with the university’s accounting program, the Honors College will equip me with analytical, leadership, and communication skills that are indispensable. Such skills and academics will permit me to obtain the credentials and experiences necessary to finish my bachelor’s degree in accounting with a specialization in auditing, pursue a Master’s degree, and sit for the CPA exam.
