Fast Food Satire
Recently, I have been enlightened in the world of food. Through some internet reasherch and a few documentaries is have come to find out the power of food. This newfound insight has pushed me to write to you today. Newfound, I say that with intent. I haven't learned this until now, 16 years into my existence. The fact of the matter, is that it's imperative that schools provided local, fresh, and plant based diets. As you know the food provided in schools is brutally prossed and meat centered, which through my reasherch is not what we are designed to eat. But I would like to clear something up its not your fault and I'm not trying to acusse you of any wrong doing. Along with that your doing the best you can with the resources you have providing

The consumption of meat in America is responsible for, 91% of amazon rainforest deforestation to make room for animal aquaculture. 1-2 acres of rainforest are cleared every minuet. That quarter pounder from McDonalds takes 660 gallons of fresh water to create that is equivalent to showering for 2 months. 51% of all global greenhouse gas emissions due to livestock and there byproducts, to put that in perspective 13% of global greenhouse gas emissions are due to Transport (Road, Marine, Rail, and Air). Also a farm of 2500 cows waste production of equivalent to the waste of a city of 411000 people. As you can see you have the for basic issues that we face as a humanity, the lack of fresh water, the lack of food, deforestation, and climate control. At principal we as a community and school have the resposablilty like every human to be in touch with our environment and not blindly follow the will of the huge agrobiuness. Every ounce of meat we consume is another dollar in there pocket. I don’t know about you but to me our actions so far seem a little irresponsible?
