Why School Lunch Should Be Changed
Have you ever gotten a rotten or squishy fruit or vegetable?, and the food looking nasty and unappetizing. What if the school has only has a little bit of food choices would you eat the school food I won't that’s why I’m writing about why the school lunch should be changed.
Will you eat a food that looks unappetizing and that it’s expired?, I wouldn’t and most of the students in my class and in the school wouldn’t either because there has been students that had gotten milk that has been expired for days and some of the food is frozen and one thing that almost no one likes about the school food is the smell that makes me and some of the students not want to try the food and now we don’t have any energy that food gives us for the day.
The school

The subject matter selected is should changes be made to the regulations for foods that were served in public schools. This issue is selected because of two reasons, first, and education is the base of progress on each level, whether it is on an individual, social, economic or at national level(s). The second intention is the government has opened public schools to provide education at minimum or no cost to the students. And they also make available free or low-cost meal to them to make sure that they get the least possible calories to have a healthy body and sound mind. I believe that high schools should have open lunches. Students should be able to leave the school grounds and go to a fast food restaurant, or, if they choose should at least be able to go outside and eat. Students need to have a small break from school during the day, even if they are outside, they still can take their minds off of school work for a while. Students need to have fresh air and adequate sunlight. Fresh air and sunlight is a proven fact to help students in their studies and it also helps the students concentrate more. I understand that the school staff would not like the fact that the students would be able to leave campus without supervision. Are not the students in high school? Should we not have the responsibility to be able…

the question, why can’t students leave school for lunch? There are so many other places school cafeteria food doesn’t even compare to. If they were allowed to leave, they would have more lunch options, become more independent, and gain more social experience with the real world. Schools wouldn’t have to make as many lunches for kids which would allow them to make them higher quality. Students should be able to leave school for lunch so that they can eat healthier and become more independent. If students were allowed to leave for lunch, they would be able to eat healthier, more nutritious lunches. It would also give them a chance to go home and make any meal they want. Some people like school lunches but I’m sure that chicken every day for a…

I mean it even looks like it’s a piece of trash! I doubt you would know because you and the other staff members of the school get fancy meals! This is an outrage and all of the other students of FHMS agree with me! Also, why would you charge us 2.00 dollars for a lunch! That is ridiculous for this piece of trash! That is why all of the students attending FHMS are going to stop purchasing lunches! Face it, you brought this upon yourself! School lunches are almost always inadequate. More than half the students leave lunch hungry. They give choices of vegetables but when they don't taste good they'll just be trashed. If they eat eight hundred calorie meals and they only eat one fourth they only get two hundred of those calories. That's possibly for a high school student that plays three sports a year that won't be home until after six or seven o'clock.…

This low-quality food is why many students would rather not eat. Cedric Bonsol, a junior who attends Bravo high school in Los Angeles said, “’Sometimes, I don't eat because I don't like it’" (Lin). School lunches lack healthy nutrients that growing children and teens need. Because, schools lack the proper funding needed to support students with healthy lunches, students have a horrible diet. A lot of people, including myself, believe that if healthy school lunches were provided students at home would make better choices when it came to what snacks they ate between meals. If schools got better funding for healthier lunches it could theoretically save the government more money because the students in turn would have less health problems.…

Recently, I have been enlightened in the world of food. Through some internet reasherch and a few documentaries is have come to find out the power of food. This newfound insight has pushed me to write to you today. Newfound, I say that with intent. I haven't learned this until now, 16 years into my existence. The fact of the matter, is that it's imperative that schools provided local, fresh, and plant based diets. As you know the food provided in schools is brutally prossed and meat centered, which through my reasherch is not what we are designed to eat. But I would like to clear something up its not your fault and I'm not trying to acusse you of any wrong doing. Along with that your doing the best you can with the resources you have providing…

One school rule that the principal should change is the proportion of food given to students in school because students are at the age when they need to eat right and plenty to be able to grow and get enough nutrients for our brains while we are developing. If they would get together and create a chart or even a list of what students like and also is approved by Child Nutrition company. The principal should have a system where students can vote on the food the prefer for lunch because how do they know what kind of food we like if they don’t take the time to figure out a way to improve students lunches or even bother to bring up the problem. I don’t like a lot of the food the school feeds me and it's a small portion of food like if they are feeding little elementary students.…
