I have worked with many cadets and participated in many teams for the past three years and in fact, I am currently a Platoon Leader, Honor Guard captain, and taking up the captain role of the Orienteering team. Being receptive to change and having a flexible way of thinking, this year I have been able to achieve great results at leading my lower-ranking fellow cadets. I want this position because I feel that I possess all the necessary qualifications, qualities and abilities, to empower me to be effective. I fit the individual detail impeccably. As I have mentioned above, I can work independently or as part of a team. I take initiative, whether it is or isn't needed, and I do not wait for others to tell me what to do. I have a decent record of having the capacity to draw out the best in others, particularly the cadets. If I were to become the Commanding Officer, the position will permit me to build up the skills, I as of now have, and obtain new ones. I consider this to be an open door for me to progress my JROTC career development and for what's to come. The challenge that this position presents, is something that I will appreciate handling. I am at my best when faced with problems that should be settled rapidly and effectively. I am certain that I can make an impact and bring benefit to the unit and to myself.
