Fly Emirates My Reflection
“Fly Emirates. Hello, Tomorrow.” Have any one of you heard of this slogan from the TV before? Good morning teacher and fellow students. Today I am here to introduce the advertisement I have nominated for the Annual Best of the Best TV Advertising Awards, organized by The Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce.

“Hello, Tomorrow” is the slogan of the latest advertising campaign from the Emirates Airline. Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is one of the world’s most successful and rapidly-expanding airline company. Emirates launched a new brand platform and direction, themed “Hello Tomorrow”. In the advertising campaign, they have made a new brand promise as the company continues its evolution from a travel brand to a global lifestyle brand.

I consider it the best advirtisment of the year, because it tells a compelling story that shakes and moves the audience in less than a minute. In the one minute version of the commercial, it tells a story of connection between peoples. There are seven main characters in the story, representing the seven billion people of the world. Those people appeared were of different nationalities, different skin colors, different careers, different ages and different genders. For example, the story started with a merchandiser’s business trip. He met a female Arabian fashion designer in a fashion show. In the fashion show, the designer worked with an Indian model. When the model joined a Funk Street party, she was captured by a photographer. Her photo was then displayed in an exhibition in Shanghai, where the photographer made friends with a Chinese girl and they shared ideas about photography. Then the girl met her African boyfriend in New York. After that, the young man went surfing with an old man. Finally, the old man got on a bus, he was sitting beside the merchandiser who appeared in the very beginning of the advertisement. The story tells us how the Emirates acts as the bridge between peoples and places, between culture and

While this is more of a humorous commercial; that is what engages viewers to take interest in the ad. Viewers are also engaged because of Isaiah Mustafa being so appealing. He is a handsome, funny, and confident man, and his voice is very deep. He almost reminds me of a male sex symbol. In the very beginning moments of this ad, he is showing off his abs while the rest of his body is wrapped in a towel. Isaiah Mustafa is a very physical fit man and that is what attracts the women to watch the…

They made two adverts, one was before its release, and another one after it .I think they made a clear message because the content of the poster is clear and straight to the point. The first one says “Greatness Awaits”. The advert was very good, it has a short and very powerful meaning. The second one says “This is for the Players”; I think this one is quite individual and it brings an impression that is just for a certain group of people. I think the second one could be improved in a way that every person would like it, even if they don’t know how to use it, to inspire people to have it, such as “Where the Connected world is” or “The Greatness of the Entertainment”. Apart from that, the image in the advertisement…

In The Bean Trees by Barbra Kingsolver there are many different relationships between characters. Some are more important to the story, like the relationship that Taylor and Turtle share. Other characters that develop relationships are Taylor and Lou Ann, and Taylor and her mother, Alice. All of these relationships are also very symbiotic because the people rely on each other, without each other they would have much different lives. The author shows how Taylor grows through her relationships and the dependence they have on one another.…

This commercial was set on a beach and a situation of a boy trying to make up with a strange beautiful girl. He tried to impress her by some skillful movements dancing on the sea such as Break Dance and Hip Hop. But unfortunately, she did not care anything about his performance and she walked away while he felt very disappointed. At the end, suddenly, he took a shirt from Forever 21 on and the girl agreed to be his girlfriend. It can be said that this commercial created the comfortable and happy mood with an unpredictable ending. Besides, the scene from a beach was very suitable because it made a romantic atmosphere. The clothes that the girl wore were fitted the makeup and made she look pretty. The message behind this commercial is “The new product helps to make people look prettier and connects their hearts.” They feel sympathy when they both choosing Forever 21. Gone are the days of advertisements with product-specific features only. The viewers are now welcoming creative television commercials sporting social messages, the company’s goodwill gestures and even depicting real life stories. And this one, very imaginatively visualises a one minute forty second true story. The latest rendition of Banglalink’s Din Badaler Cheshta, produced by Banglalink and Cogito Marketing Solutions and directed by Amitabh Reza essentially narrates the story of Abul Kalam Azad, chairman and managing director of Azad Products Pvt Ltd, who dreamt his dreams, struggled hard, and achieved them. Although, like other advertisements, it aims at cashing in on melodrama, there is no denying that owing to the nature of the story and the actual events having taken place, it carries a spirit of great achievement. The commercial summarily depicts Azad’s struggle from a poor village youth to what he is today. All the sets have been minutely constructed – the bus, brandings, newspaper, horse rides and even the beautiful belles in their 70’s fashion – bringing the feel of that time to life. At one stage, when the narrator voices – herey jabo boley toh shopno dekhini – one feels a strong hair-raising adrenalin rush. The advertisement opens with monochrome visual - Azad’s childhood endeavour of trading coconuts from one village to another. ‘It was actually a real life incident’, says Azad, sitting for an interview with New Age. ‘While transporting those fruits in a small boat, a bigger boat hit us and our boat capsized leaving all the fruits floating. And while passengers from passer-by boats actually tried to take them, I and my cousin Hassan were trying our…
