What I Would Tell America's Founding Fore Fathers If America's founding fore fathers were alive today, they would probably be happy with how far we've come, and somewhat ashamed. They would be proud of our military and technology, but they would be shocked at how high our dept is. Our dept might be high, but America is still the best country in the world. In general, our fore fathers would be happy with how far we've come. For example, America has the best and largest military in the world. My favorite part about living in America, is that we can believe in what we want to believe. Christianity is illegal in about fifty-one countries, but not America. Also, about ninety-nine percent of Americans can read and write. We have the highest literacy rate in the world. Not only has America advanced in size and citizens rights, we have advanced in technology. America has improved drastically in technology over the past few hundred years. I'm pretty sure that if George Washington walked into Best buy, he would think he was on a different planet. I mean, Abraham Lincoln would have no clue that he is supposed to touch the screen of an iPad. The fact that space ships allowed us to walk on the moon would blow their minds. America is wonderful in numerous ways, but there are some things that our fore fathers would frown upon. The fact that Americas dept is almost at the fifteen trillion nine hundred billion mark and is still growing, is pretty bad. Also, one out of eight people in the U.S. uses food stamps. About forty million people depends on the federal government for food every day. America has its ups and downs, but if Americas founding fore fathers were alive today, I think they would be amazed at how far we have come. Despite a few things that might be a downer on Americas reputation, America is a wonderful country. I can't imagine growing up anywhere else. If it weren't for Americas founding fore fathers, I might be speaking German right
