I have been going to school at RCC for six terms now and plan on being here for another five. RCC has given me the tools necessary to prepare for a four year college and a doctorate program beyond. The classes offered here are invaluable to my future educational career. In fall 2012, I will transfer to SOU into the pre‐physical therapy program under the guidance of Kelly Mason. As this is the case, I have been diligently taking classes at RCC which will directly transfer to that program. I am enjoying math more than I ever thought I would and am reminded constantly of its applications in real life as well as my chosen profession. So much so, that I have decided to go on into calculus and calculus‐based physics rather than the general physics that is required. This will give me a minor in physics, which should increase my employability.
After I get my bachelor’s degree at SOU, I will apply to the physical therapy program at the University of Puget Sound in Washington. Their Doctorate of Physical Therapy program includes an on‐site clinic where students begin working regularly within the first year and continue doing so throughout the remainder of the program. This contrasts with other programs in the Northwest that require off‐site internships beginning at the end of the first
