GEMS Work Preference Indicator Through the GEMS survey, I discovered my Grand Type to be Results Oriented Team Player – Team Captain. I agree this type suits me well because I possess many of the traits that were described within my assessment. I am very ambitious and it is important to me to be effective and excel as an employee. It was very interesting to see how many of the traits described in my assessment that I possess. One trait which stuck out is when it stated when I am assigned to a task, I am eager to get started and get it accomplished. With anything I pursue, I really strive to stand out from the crowd by providing excellent results. I work very hard to complete things that I set out to accomplish. I love it when someone challenges me and tells me I cannot do something. For instance, in approximately six weeks I will be running in the Baltimore half-marathon. Now, no one has directly told me I will not be able to do it, but I know there are a few people that think I cannot. Seeing their face once I have completed it will make me feel very good, I love giving the look of “I told you so” to someone who doubts me. The same happens for work related things. I love being the person to figure out something that everyone else said it is impossible to figure out. These examples clearly show why my percentages were so high within the factors of job fulfillment (82%) and career ladder (87%). I enjoy being told that I am doing well at my job, it helps keep me going. One of the traits that I did not agree with is when it said I would rather work with people than work alone. As I do enjoy being around people while working, I prefer to handle projects by myself. I do not have the patience to explain what I am working on to someone else. It may not be the best to think like this, but I truly believe in the saying “If you want something to be done well, do it yourself”. I think this all comes right back to my strong desire to please and receive the praise for

Australian theatre practitioners use various performance styles, techniques and dramatic conventions to help portray their ideas to their audiences and make them feel a particular way to the ideas presented in a play. Without the use of these styles, techniques and conventions it wouldn’t be possible for the practitioners to emphasise their ideas. In the play ‘Ruby Moon’ Matt Cameron the playwright uses various techniques such as symbolism, transformational acting, cyclical and episodic dramatic structure and a fractured fairytale.…

The individual experiences found in Australian society are the fear of the unknown, grief and loss, life in a ‘cul-de-sac’ and identity. Matt Cameron explores these ideas in the play Ruby Moon through the use of cyclical structure, Absurd and Artaud theatre and transformational acting as well as the elements of production to convey the experiences to the audience. The prevailing cultural, historical and political contexts in Australia influenced him to write the play, which is a fusion of non-realism and realism.…

My initial self-personality assessment test suggests that I am very well organized, which is accurate. This proves that the assessment tests designed by our HR team is credible and can be used further for the rest of our members. My personality assessment also indicated my sensitivity to deadlines and my keen eye on details. Both are correct because I always follow instructions and make sure quality of the deliverables are at their best. Since I will be the team leader, I will be responsible for the quality of the deliverables, and this will improve accountability, not just for me, but also for the team members. I also perform extremely well because of my skills as a team leader and my experience, education, and training has taught me the principles of time management, which can be critical in meeting deadlines and setting priorities to objectives. My self-assessment test will highlight both my strengths and weaknesses and will also determine if I have the skills and personality expected from an ideal…

By doing this self-assessment I learned about my strengths. I was aware that I accept full responsibility for my actions and results of my life. Since I was a little girl, my mother bestowed in me that, “Life is nothing but the result of the choices you make.” I know that my destiny is counting on me. I know what motivates me and what choices hinder my success. Choosing between the two is the challenge; I call that self-warfare. I believed that I scored high in: accepting personal responsibility, discovering self-motivation, and adopting lifelong learning. I feel really good about my strengths.…

In the first assessment tool “What Is My Basic Personality?” the focus was on the five-factor model of personalities which are-extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience. Based off this evaluation, my basic personality indicates that I am moderately extroverted because I scored a ten. My conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience scores were high with a score of fifteen. My personality does indicate that I am someone who is agreeable because I scored thirteen. According to the analysis and interpretation, a high agreeableness and conscientiousness score indicates someone who “is good-natured, cooperative, and trusting” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9). A high conscientiousness score represents “someone who is responsible, dependable, persistent, and achievement oriented” (Robbins, 2007 pg.9). Also, a high emotional stability score indicates “someone who is calm, enthusiastic, and secures (Robbins 2007 pg.9). Finally, a high openness to experience score signifies someone who is “imaginative, artistically sensitive, and intellectual” (Robbins, 2007 pg 9). My score indicates that I have a positive emotional stability level, conscientious and openness to experience. However, extraversion and agreeableness were moderate scores which imply that I can improve in these areas.…

There are many characteristics that could be used to describe me. I am very outgoing, committed, action-oriented, and organized, among many other things. Sadly not all of my traits are considered positive; I can be considered high strung, stress driven, controlling, and having a strong desire to always need to impress. All of my positives are very helpful in anything that involves people, especially planning and organizing events which is something I have done many times in high school and also college. With all of these traits in mind, I agree with the psychodynamic perspective, which is a personality that is primarily unconscious (King, 2013, pg.362), I believe that our characteristics are created by our reaction to society and then certain traits stick and become a part of us without even realizing it. One trait that I significantly gained awareness to and utilized to my full advantage in my senior year of high school and still use is being action-oriented. I made connections to people easily and in team-based situations I was the one that made sure people stayed focused, while still making sure that everyone felt their opinions were still being heard. I often just assumed responsibility, and made sure all issues came to closure in a positive way, this was something that I believe that I just grew up learning and knowing because I am the oldest of seven children.…
