the dog can “be described as ‘goofy,’ ‘klutzy,’ or ‘big softies,’” according to an article written by Dr. Becker. Females, on the other hand, are said to be more sincere. Female dogs appreciate the tender loving care their owners give. They may love receiving all the affection but they’d eventually walk off on their own since they are more independent than males. To add on, there is a decision to allow your pet to not have sexual intercourse or have babies.
For males, they can become neutered and for females, they can become spayed. By doing this, it decreases the pet population, reduces unwanted mating, and creates different behaviors between both genders. If the pet is left alone, there are more likely chances that they will be more aggressive. Once female dogs are spayed, they may experience more calm behaviors around the house. In the article, “Dog Behavior After Spaying,” it states that, “one of the accepted behavioral reasons for spaying and neutering is to reduce aggression.” Not only do females get reduced aggression, but males get the same process to. They will go through less sexual desire and become more calm, if neutered at an early age. After being neutered or spayed, the dog will experience an angry behavior due to the pain they are in, but all they need is to be well taken care
of. Aside from the ineligibility to mate, having puppies plays a big role in the parents actions too. The father and the mother both have different ways of raising their children. The mother would most likely would be more gentle and protective of her babies while the father wouldn’t be so aware that the puppies are his. Once he is, then he will be able to interact with them and train them to be just like their father. When the mother is laying with her newborns, she will be their guardian; she will not allow any other dog come in contact with her puppies. The father will back off, feeling left out, and would have to then wait to finally meet them. Once the puppies are able to socialize more with the outside world, the mother would be after them taking care of them, just like a mother would normally do. Meanwhile, the father figure, would be having endless playtime and may often get carried away and end up playing rough. To conclude, the female and the male dogs are both different emotionally which leads to an impact on the situation around them. As for example, being spayed or neutered can lead to a more calm personality, or the way they can raise their young ones, or even how the emotionally are in general. Both genders have their approaches but that doesn’t make one more superior than the other.
