I believe you brought forth several key factors the show the gender wage difference. In my opinion, the information pertaining to the percentage of pay difference at different levels was the most interesting. I know that there was some difference in pay between men and women, however did not realize that it could be up to 30 percent. The differences in pay can result in huge injustices and social inequalities. A pay increase of even 10 percent can help to raise someone to a different social economic status. While most of your points seemed well rounded there is one section that I felt needed more attention. Women needing extra hours for higher wages or choosing between family might be a hasty generalization. I believe that this mentality
would apply to single mothers, however could vary with dual income families. Compared to previous generations married men are assuming some of the traditional female roles and assisting with household responsibilities (Manza, n.d).Overall, I found your post informative and interesting. There is a gender pay segregation that needs to be addressed and the first step is always recognizing the inequality.
