George Washington Was A Great Person
George Washington was a great person. He was the only person who could have held the army together and keep them from quitting. George Washington kept his military from quitting and he led the country to victory in the Revolutionary War. He was appointed the first president of the United States of America. His generals originally wanted to call him king but he refused because he thought that if he was named king then they would have accomplished nothing so he made them call him President.
George Washington’s first ancestor to live in the new world was his great grandfather John Washington. George Washington was the oldest of his siblings. When George was 17 his father Augustine became mortally sick caused by looking over his land while riding a horse in bad weather. Which ironically was the same way George died. George only

George Washington lost many battles but was always driven to never give up when he was fighting. He tried to teach his soldiers as well as possible. He showed them how to be courageous but that didn’t help them. His soldiers still fled battles when they saw the British. George Washington would get very angry if they left the battle and surrendered. George Washington was overestimated in some ways but underestimated in others. He was overestimated in his war tactics. People saw him as a hero but really he was just lucky in the battles he won. He was underestimated in his leadership skills. He was a great leader and knew how to teach any type of people. He led the country to where it is today and is the reason we are so successful and where we are

    February 22, 1732 in the small town of Bridges Creek (Wakefield), Virginia an American Icon, George Washington, was born. His father was a slave owning tobacco planter and also an iron minor. Their family was considered to be moderately prosperous in the colony of Virginia. However, George’s childhood was anything, but luxurious. It was filled with the stench of death and hardship. Before George was even 12 years old his father and 3 of his siblings would perish. His full sister Mildred died at the age of 2, his half-brother, Butler died as an infant and his other half-sister, Jane died at the age of 12 (Mastromarino). George was just a young boy at the time of all these deaths and had handled them as if though he was a man, but nothing could have prepared him for his father’s untimely death.     George Washington, our first president was born in Westford Moreland Country, Virginia on February 22,1732.George Washington’s parents were Augustine and Mary Ball Washington . Augustine owned a planation and was successful at running it, but a tragedy struck the family and he passed away. After his past, Mary took over the responsible of the planation while taking care of five children.
