In my opinion I believe the third ghost of Christmas Future was the most influence. I believe that because Scrooge changed when he saw that he was the dead man and no one cared because he was so mean and he changed his ways and everything he did wrong. Scrooge is like this because his partner died on Christmas eve and he had to run there business by himself. In the movie that we watched called Christmas Carol I seen how Scrooge was seen by 3 ghost.…

This was that Scrooge did NOT appreciate anything he had in his life. Throughout the beginning of the story, Scrooge took everything for granted. Of course, Scrooge could not realize this because his greed for money took over his soul. He was so caught up in making money, that he did not take a look around him to understand that he was blessed with a loyal clerk, a prosperous company, and a jolly relative still alive. The motif that Scrooge didn’t appreciate him clearly ties back with the chosen passage. This is because when Marley comes to tell Scrooge about the three ghosts, the ghosts will turn him into a more cheerful, appreciative, person. This is also the first part in the story when Scrooge has an opportunity to realize that Marley was such a great friend and partner to him.…

“Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values” says Thomas S. Monson. This is one intricate message that Ebenezer Scrooge failed to grasp. Ebenezer Scrooge is the narcissistic, avaricious protagonist in Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. To start off, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas yet to come. Each of these three spirits exemplifies a different time in his penurious life. As an attempt to change Scrooge, all of the three spirits…

The fear of Scrooge towards the third ghost is very understandable , above all it is the physical appearance of this ghost that makes Scrooge fear him the most, but on the other hand the quietness of it makes Scrooge get a feeling of suspense. “Scrooge feared the silent shape so much that his legs trembled beneath him, and he found that he could hardly stand when he prepared to follow it” (Dickens 134). The fact that the ghost did not talked at all only made Scrooge more nervous, he did not know what to say nor what to do. The reader can easily notice that Scrooge had a lot of respect towards this ghost, mainly because of the fear that the Phantom was causing him but also because he had learned to do it from the other ghosts. “I fear you…

Here are some reasons, the first reason is, in the Christmas carol he made a character named scrooge. Scrooge is supposed to be a bad, cruel, and a rude person. No one likes him in the Christmas carol, everyone is afraid of him. Dickens also created three spirits in the story. Each spirit is supposed to teach Scrooge lessons and his mistakes. The spirits threaten him if he doesn’t change and fix his mistakes. The first spirit took him on a trip into his Christmas past to show him how he acted when he was little. When Scrooge was little his life was filled with joy and happiness but now Scrooge’s life is very dark. The spirit is trying to show Scrooge what is missing in his life. Which is joy and happiness.…

In 'A Christmas Carol', Charles Dickens represents Scrooge as an unsympathetic man who is offered the opportunity to redeem himself. Through use of language, the reader is positioned to view him adversely, but during the journey of morality lessons shown by three spirits, Scrooge recovers his sense of joy by undergoing a significant transformation. Scrooge seeks redemption through the many lessons taught by the Spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.…

There are multiple differences between the film and book, A Christmas Carol. Scrooge does not meet Tim on the street waiting for his father. The book does not tell a part about just Tim and his father. Marley’s ghost does not say his name repeatedly to Scrooge. When Ebenezer looks out his window to see where the ghost of Marley went there are phantoms in the air. The Ghost of Christmas Past is a male. Scrooge does not dance with a woman. He wakes up on his bed instead of floor. The conversation between Ebenezer and his nephew, Fred, is short. The Ghost of Christmas Future does not make a screeching sound.…

Scrooge was at first inclined to be surprised that the Spirit should attach importance to conversations apparently so trivial; but feeling assured that they must have some hidden purpose, he set himself to consider what it was likely to be. They could scarcely be supposed to have any bearing on the death of Jacob, his old partner, for that was Past, and this Ghost's province was the Future. Nor could he think of any one immediately connected with himself, to whom he could apply them. But nothing doubting that to whomsoever they applied they had some latent moral for his own improvement, he resolved to treasure up every word he heard, and everything he saw; and especially to observe the shadow of himself when it appeared. For he had an expectation that the conduct of his future self would give him the clue he missed, and would render the solution of these riddles easy. (4.38)…

He remembers how he was rejected, and then he feels regretful and sad for what he had done and what might happen because of him. In the second stave it says, “The school is not quite deserted,” said the Ghost. “A solitary child, neglected by his friends, is left there still” (33). This depicts that Scrooge had no one that really loved him. He didn’t have any real friends or people to talk too. Scrooge thinks about what he has done, and says regretfully, “There was a boy singing a Christmas carol at my door last night. I should like to have given him something” (36). This demonstrates that Scrooge knows that he has made mistakes, and is starting to become a better person, with the Ghosts’ help. Scrooge becomes sad, finally thinking about someone other than himself. “Spirit,” said Scrooge, with an interest he had never felt before, “Tell me if Tiny Tim will live.” “I see a vacant seat,” replied the Ghost, “In an old chimney corner, and a crutch without an owner, carefully preserved. If these shadows remain unaltered by the future, the child will die” (65). This shows that Scrooge really does care about other people. He is recognizing his emotions for other people…

We see an obvious similarity in both works of literature in the beginning. Both Macbeth and Ebenezer Scrooge receive supernatural guests. Macbeth is visited by a trio of foul witches, after a long and exhausting battle with the Norwegian army. These witches predict that Macbeth will become king of Scotland and Banquo, Macbeth's partner, shall beget a line of Scottish kings. These prophesies are important to the plot and how it progresses, just like the ghosts are imperative to the story of Ebenezer Scrooge. In his case, Scrooge was visited by three ghosts of Christmas. The Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet To Come. These ghosts show Scrooge his happiness as a child, his present situation of unstability with family, and Bob Crachit's fate, and his future yet to come, death. These predictions also played an important role in the book, for Scrooge changed his ways in the end.…

In the “The Lion King” Simba, the main character, didn’t realize that his future would affect his decisions that he made in the past, so he tries to go back and fix it but he can’t. Also a childhood friend of Simba shows him what is happening in the future and how bad it is. In A Christmas Carol the ghosts take him back to his past and lets him see what he is doing wrong and help him fix it for the future. For both “The Lion King”, and A Christmas Carol the choice of remembering the past and feelings after in the present helped the stories finish with a strong ending of them forgiving anyone they hurt or living up to their potential positively. The second ghost has already come and showed Scrooge the present and how joyful everyone is and how depressed and saddened Scrooge is. Scrooge wanted the ghost madness to be over but soon enough the next ghost had come. The ghost arrived with Scrooge he was “the ghost of christmas…
