Girl Online Character Analysis
1. Try to summarize the plot. What happens in the book you have read?

- I've read the book Girl Online, written by Zoe Sugg. It was about a girl named Penny, her blog where she writes about her family, friends, boys and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. Her parents are wedding planners and they get an opportunity to work in New York, and Penny gets to come with them. She meets Noah, a gorgeous American boy who plays the guitar. She falls in love and writes everything about it on her blog. But Noah has a secret as well, one that threatens to ruin Penny's cover and her closest friendship, forever.

2. Describe the main character. Focus on their personalities, but also describe what they look like in your imagination.

She is also smart, kind, creative and funny. The majority of her friends are quite bitchy, and she doesn't really trust them. The only place where she feels like she can open up is on her blog, and to her best friend Elliot of course. She has auburn/reddish hair, freckles and has a unique taste in clothes.

3. What did you think about the book? What did you like and what did you dislike? Why?

- I absolutely loved it! The way Zoe described and expressed herself was amazing. There was a lot of details and I loved the way she described feelings, people and what things looked like. She is a really good writer! I especially liked the blog chapters (chapters that looked like blog posts), because it was different from other books I've read and the metaphors were interesting and well-described. I honestly didn't dislike anything, besides that it could've been longer. I didn't want it to end. So that's a positive thing!

4. Who would you recommend this book to? Who do you think would like it and

Long distance really sucks. Saide Lee and Bella miss you as well! They wanted me to say hello and Bella wanted me to tell you that Princess Autumn is doing great! How are you, genuinely? I hope you're doing amazing. I'm doing alright, I just miss you so much..

I have something to tell you, something I didn't have the guts to tell you when you were here in front of me. I feel stupid for not telling you in person but I just couldn't. It's going to sound very bad, but you have to trust me. Promise you won't hate me.

You might know who Leah Brown is, the singer? Her last album bombed. The record label panicked, they didn't know what to do. So, when they signed me, the marketing people said they wanted to orchestrate some kind of phony romance between us. They said it would help both our album sales. I didn't want to but they said all it needed was a few staged photos and tweets. It felt so sketchy and awful. I hated it. I thought about turning the deal down but I couldn't, I'd already signed the contract. I figured it wasn't that bad because it wasn't like I was actually going out with anyone, but then you came

The novel that I am reading is “I’m Not Her” by Janet Gurtler. It is about the struggles a young girl, named Tess, goes through when she finds out that her sister, Kristina, was diagnosed with cancer. Tess has always been looking up to her older sister, because her sister was always the center of the crowd, sporty, beautiful one and Tess was always the smart, un-popular one. It was always hard on Tess, so when her sister was diagnosed with cancer, she felt as if she could finally be known. All of Kristina’s friends started befriending Tess, now that her sister wasn’t at school. Although Tess loved the popularity, she did have a lot of trouble too. Not a lot of people were asking how Tess was doing about the whole cancer situation but there was one person who was always there for her. His name was Clark. After talking days upon days with him, Tess began to want to be more then friends with him. But Tess also knew that she had to be there for her sister and didn’t have time to have a serious love life at that point in time. Then Tess met a boy from school named Jeremy. Jeremy has a little crush on Kristina, but is also now good friends with Tess. Tess was wondering why he would always talk about Kristina, and then he finally informed her that he always hangs out with her at the hospital when he is visiting his mother, who also has cancer.…

Its worst feature: I think this book's worst feature is that it is not very interesting. This book doesn't keep your attention. I thought the writer had a really good flow of style and expressed herself really well, especially with the storyline. It was a great story overall, the writer was very graphic with her words and it kind of made me feel like I was there re-living that moment with her. Her style was cool and she built up the story with conflict. The suspense was awesome because she made it feel like it was going to be good from the start to the end, but then I felt the tension when things became dark and muggy. The argumentation was written well and the story ended on a good note. The writer wrote for her people and you could literally…

Everything since then has been about reasons and that’s good. That means that one day, I’ll find someone I won’t say good bye to. But.. But a part of me just misses someone; and having them love you back. That’s all. I guess what I’m saying is, I hope things are great with you. I hope everything is great. I hope everything is great. I hope you found a love that’s all the things ours couldn’t be. Just a small part of me hopes that you’ll still remember what it was like before all the reasons and that you miss me too.…
