My Goals for the Next Two to Six Years
It is necessary to have a goal in life; otherwise, you cannot be something in your life. We all need objectives to motivate us. Since I moved to the US, I have changed my ideas about the future because there are many opportunities here which are achievable. I have some goals for the next two to six years which I want to accomplish successfully. At this stage of my life, my main purpose is to keep studying and getting a good education because it will lead to my future success in business. At first, I have to finish ESL 4 classes. I am a responsible and hardworking student, so passing this level with high grades will give me confidence in myself and the longing to move toward my later steps. Then, during summer semester, I want to take ESL 5 to improve my grammar skills. After that, the next step is applying for credit classes at GCC in the fall. .Becoming a GCC credit student is easy, but there is a process which I have to follow. To begin with, submitting an Online Application is necessary. After I w receive my GCC ID number, I have to take English and math assessment tests. Next step is meeting with a counselor to make the plan for my future units. In addition, I have to attend an orientation course for newly enrolled students. Then, I will be able to register for classes, and I will finally become a credit student. After two years, when I complete all my ESL classes, I can choose my major. I would like to take a major in accounting because of my long-term goal, which is supporting my husband in our family business. I realize that I will have hard times ahead because mastering a new language requires a lot of time and effort. Combining family responsibilities and studying is quite difficult, but if I am determined to reach my goal, nothing can stop me. I have to be industrious, persevering, and sometimes patient.
