He has the right to protest for what they have done to the mural. The city needed to speak with the artist because he is the one that can decide what to do with his piece of art. Also, it would create an impact to the people of the city because the painting transmits to the people a sense of relaxation. The author decides what to do with his art. In my experience, as a person that draws, i did a drawing and a person came and paint over my drawing. It was not funny at all. So what I'm saying is that the artist won't like other people do the same thing that they did to me.
I disagree with the actions that the city took. They needed to talk with the artist to make an agreement about what they were planning to do with the mural. The fact that they didn't talk with him is the reason why Romero took action against the city of Los Angeles. Communication is what the world need to understand each other.
In conclusion, as the city of Los Angeles wake up to the fact that these murals like the one of Romero, make the city look more beautiful and full of life.
