Graduation Speech: AFLAC Percentage
Good morning,

I hope everything is going well for you. I have been working with Mr. Patton with AFLAC to setup coverage. He said I could just transfer my AFLAC accounts from my previous employer. However, I needed to inquire regarding when I may be able to setup the AFLAC payment to come out of my paycheck?

Thank you and have a great day,
Jacob

Yes, yes, yes Anita!!! This troubled world we live in idolizes materialist things and people more than worship God. You will see more people spending more time going to concerts than praying. Or even spending more money on their appearance than tithing. Luther’s reference to idolatry was truly on point. People are idolizing the “American dream” than the one who is the reason behind it all,…

Well, it’s a place where all of your fantasies can come true. You can come to this country with just the clothes on your back and hope in your heart. Then after settling here you will have a closet full of clothes, a big house to live in, and a bountiful supply of money. You’ll be living the American Dream. You can be and say whatever you want in America. That’s why it’s called ‘’the land of the free, and the home of the brave’’ right? Wrong. If you come to America with just the clothes on your back, we will accuse and prosecute you for being an ‘’illegal alien’’, arrest you, take the only items item you have to your name (your clothing), redress you in a prison uniform, destroying any bit of hope you had in the process. Folks come to America with the idea of a better opportunity in life, but in reality, you’re worse off living here.…

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

Abilene Christian University exceeds my expectations of a Christian University. I would like to go to a school that not only calls themselves "Christian" but actually acknowledges Jesus Christ as the rock of their school and education. Personally, God comes first in my life, a university that feels the same is absolutely magnificent! My beliefs are such that it is not about a religion but rather a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. I do not belong to a denomination, I belong to God only because the relationship that we have is much greater than any religious personnel could give me.…

One has to approach school as an added duty in one’s life. I must add an extra responsibility to my daily chores and activities. I am venturing into an activity I have not done any schooling for over 30 plus years now. School is something I must learn all over again. This changes our everyday routines to a point that we all must learn to work well with this new education. I am glad that in the past I had learned great tools to work with while working on these new responsibilities. Making it great while I was getting my A.S. degree in Florida Tech College out of Orlando, FL. Back then everything was paper and pencil or pen. Now I see an all new era of schooling and especially online. I force myself to get things done early, just like I do when I need to be somewhere for an appointment. I arrive much earlier than requested so I have time to sit and plan what will be going on at this appointment. I turn that into the same here with my online class. I don't like to be late for anything even dinner at home. Work on my college activities and required assignments take on the same aspect that I apply to my personal life. Both must be taken on with kid gloves. But as long as I keep in mind the goals created for school and stick to them I should have no trouble working out any obstacles that come my…

America: The land of the free and the hope for a better life. Everyday there is something new to explore, there is something new to achieve. As Americans, we are granted the chance to live in a land where anything and everything is possible. The horizon has no limits nor does the sky. All of this can be easily outlined in a single, famous term recognized by people all across the world: The American Dream. A term first introduced by a man named James Truslow Adams, has become the fundamental vision of the American people as a whole. Sadly, this concept appears to be slipping between our fingertips. I believe the American dream is being ran over by laziness and the idea that the American dream is the equivalent to ultimate success. The American dream still yields residence in numerous hearts across the nation, but I believe we didn't make full usage of the opportunity we have been given.…
