Graduation Speech: Azaiah's Farewell
Good morning, Touline.

I was just checking in, hope you had a relaxing weekend. I think we are all set with things, Izaiah’s transcripts (DeKalb High School and Kishwaukee College) were submitted and received. We are all set to attend Orientation on June 24th. (Yahhhh)

You may be aware that, Izaiah has explored as many outside scholarship opportunities as possible and unfortunately none of them panned out. We received the final scholarship letter last week indicated he did not the selected recipient.

Previously, you mentioned the parent plus loan, and exploring other private loan options. After some reluctantly, I did apply for a bank loan unfortunately and was declined. I now feel we are at the last leg of the race and running on absolute

Imagine… you are getting all dressed up for that big day. You get anxious and scared because it’s the graduation for eighth grade. You get all dressed up and put on your gown and cap. Then you arrive at the school. You sit in the assigned seat and watch the children before you get up and shake hands. You feel your hands get clammy as you wait. You wait till you hear your name and realize that it’s your time to shine. You stand up and hear the creaking of the harwood on your shoes. Then you feel your hands and wipe them down, but when you get up there you shine like a supernova. Everyone's eyes are on you. You realize that it’s your time to show who you are and time to reflect on your legacy here. A legacy is what you leave behind for people…

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

Innate drive for children to play is very important because this is how children develop their skills and the different development stages throughout their life. Children are born with a natural drive for them to play. Play is a Psychological, Physiological and a Social need for them to have the impulse to have play. Also it is fundamental to the healthy development and it helps the well-being of individual’s and the different communities. There are different innate drives such as Child Lead play& Adult Led play. However the main drives for innate play are; discovering new things within the setting and outside the setting, learning new skills, develop their speech which is done by communicating with other children and the staff around them, develop their muscles and their fine and gross motor skills. You can also do innate drives with activities that are fun and they engage the children to play or for them to even socialise with other children and to be able to take part in the activities such as reading or painting with other children.…

Good evening everyone; teachers, faculty, family, friends, and the Walkerville graduating class of 2008! Wow. This day arrived so quickly – this final high school farewell seemed so distant, but it snuck up on us before we knew it. School is tricky like that; one hour and fifteen minutes can feel as long as “”, while the end of the school year can come around as fast as “Brandon Holland running the 200 meter dash. The other three years went by quickly, but none accelerated as much as this final school year. And what an amazing time it has been, Walkerville – from grade nine to now, the experiences have been unforgettable, and small wonder, considering how incredible this school is and the amazing students that make up this graduating class. There is no other school like Walkerville. it is the best high school in Windsor Essex county. Walkerville is in its own class altogether - When I look at this graduating class, I see a group of outstanding young adults. I see so much respect, acceptance, and just all around an extremely classy group of guys and gals. The talent here, especially in this senior year is phenomenal. This senior student body is made up of simply amazing actors, athletes, artists, dancers, writers, photographers, singers, really smart people, and musicians. But at Walkerville, the talent never stops at one category. To just name a few, athletes take art and dance classes, dancers play bassoon, artists sing, musicians participate in extreme stunts such as the four man piggyback, swimmers play piano, businessmen play broomball, historians write toxic love poems, and if you’re a male dancer, then you’re a hero in general. Moreover, this graduating class is a stellar example of how extraordinary ability can be combined with good character and school spirit. This senior year has constantly shown love for their school, simply by getting involved in any way possible. Helping out at events such as frosh day…

"Attention! Attention! All Students. Are you singer, actor, dancer or all of the above and feel like it's time that you get your big break well you’re in luck. Next week Thursday we will be holding auditions for our very own school musical of "The Wiz". So bring out your talent and ease on down the road to auditions." Is all I heard Monday morning on the PSA system. Maybe it's not such a bad idea I thought. As a child I've always had a passion to be on stage either singing, dancing and acting or doing all 3. But I never executed it because I was too scared and let my fears get the best of me. It's always the same phase. We have a school play, I think about doing it and just as fast as that thought came it left. But this time it felt different.…

    Othello Farewell Speech

Shakespeare’s tragedy of Othello centres on deceit and naivety. The story begins in Venice, Italy and establishes the immediately the deceitful nature of Iago. Iago manipulates and lies throughout the story and is extremely influential. The protagonist, Othello held very little power in Venice however the transition of setting from Venice to Cyprus consequently transitioned the change of power to Othello. From this position Othello controls everything but there is much that he is unaware of. Iago’s personal vendetta with Othello sees him manipulate and deceive almost everyone that he meets including Othello. In Act 3, Scene 3, Iago’s method of deceiving Othello is evident as he shrewdly attacked Othello’s weaknesses and guided him into believing that his wife yearned for another man. Othello’s use of hyperbole, metaphor and repetition express his naive, unsophisticated and extremely vulnerable nature.…

Hello, I am so honored to speak in front of all the parents, staff and my fellow students today. Wow guys we made it! These past 3 years have been full of so many memories that I know we’ll never forget. Think all the way back to 6th grade we were always the littlest ones and I remember feeling like a fish out of water. We were terrified of getting lost or being late for class, but excited to have a locker to decorate and change classes each period. It doesn’t seem like that was over 2 years ago at all. We came back in 7th grade, much more confident than the year before. We looked down to the new 6th graders, asking "Were we really that short just last year?" And by the end of 7th grade I was shocked that I was officially an 8th grader. 8th grade is defiantly my favorite year. I feel like I have everything under control. But next year is full of changes. We'll have free periods, more homework, electives, and an open campus. The new choices also bring new responsibilities that test us in figuring out how we grow from kids to adults. As we say goodbye on the last day we sit together as Balboa students, we reflect on what has happened the past 3 years, but also look forward to what is coming up in the next 4 years. My advice to future 8th graders is to keep up with your school work and try your absolute best and make lots of good, loyal friends that don’t get you in the bad kind of crowd. And most importantly, have fun! This is the last year you will be the oldest in the school for another 4 years, so enjoy it! I’d like to finish this speech off with this quote : A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.-Ayn Rand…
