Hannah Montana Scholarship Essay

When I was a little girl I would turn on the TV everyday to see a girl with a blonde wig doing what she loved, singing. Hannah Montana was her name, and she was my idol. I wanted to be just like her, singing in front of millions of people while also being a regular girl. From the time I was little to now it has shown me what I want to do in life, musical theatre. By getting into SOAR, it will help me reach my goals by bettering my skills and building upon my strengths.
Leadership has always been one thing that came naturally, from my ability to stand up and not be afraid to take charge of the situation at hand. I’m always the first one to volunteer or jump on a group project.
Collaboration is also one of my better skills. I think that it is very important to work together. Bringing new ideas to establish a brighter future for everyone. I love using teamwork to get things done, while in a positive way.
And my time out of school going to nursing homes singing, and making little girls happy by showing up to their birthday parties as a Disney Princess. I love giving back to my community and I am looking forward to expanding that path if I get into the SOAR program.
Although I am good at some things, there is always room to grow. I hope soar can expand my research and assessment tools, technology in the arts, and self actualization. SOAR would help me with these skills, giving me more experience and teaching me things I need to succeed.
