The leadership academy will be an extraordinary opportunity for to enhance my skills in leadership build my resume for college and job applications. What I could learn at the leadership academy would not only help me at MAST but it would also help me in college and my career. I feel that I would be a great selection for leadership academy because I am hardworking, focused, and disciplined. I stay true to my goals and I will try to push through any difficulties that are in the way between me and my goal. Leadership academy will help me polish the skills I already own and bring forth new skills that will make me into an extremely successful person. With another member of the battalion with extensive leadership training, I will be able to improve and keep the reputation that MAST has within the NJROTC. Any knowledge that I gain at the leadership academy is knowledge that I can teach to the younger cadets and assist them to becoming a stronger part of the unit. The thing that I could learn would not only be helpful to the other cadets but would be applicable to the format and way we run the battalion at MAST. Perhaps one of the greatest benefits of attending the leadership academy would be the useful knowledge that can be applied to the career I choose to pursue. From hearing teachers, parents, and upperclassmen talk about college applications, I know that colleges really look at volunteer hours and leadership skills. They show colleges that you are a disciplined, responsible person and they would love to have you represent their college. With more developed leadership abilities, I will be able to get better jobs and move higher up in work place and allow me to make a better
