Management Style
Have you ever asked yourself what your greatest leadership qualities are or how those qualities measure up against great leaders such as Collin Powell? Regardless of the type of business you are leading, there are core qualities that every leader should possess and the purpose of this essay is to examine and discuss them. I will define management and introduce good and poor qualities of a leader. Lastly, I will address situational based management qualities and examine the results of my management style quiz.
Management Defined I would define management as the coordinating efforts of a team of people to accomplish goals. These goals are accomplished through leading, planning, directing and organizing every aspect of the business. Management positions hold a great deal of power and responsibility which in many cases are important factors in accessing a business’s current and future financial standing.

I believe that a leader must be honest and have high ethical standards for themselves as well as their team. Confidence and communication are critical to getting the entire team on the same page. A leader must be able to communicate their thoughts and ideas to their team. In order for the team to work together as one unit, they must understand the path they need to take and what the result should look like. When the leader exhibits confidence not only in themselves but their team, people will be more likely to follow their lead. Lastly, inspiration.
