As I am writing this letter a few questions come to mind, one of them being, what does being a head girl mean to me? I think that being head girl means being able to give a voice to students, that otherwise couldn’t or wouldn’t have voiced their opinions. I think it means having the opportunity to become more involved with the school and being able to help improve and motivate the students of (enter your school name.)
Another question is why would I be a good candidate for head girl? Being in fifth year now at (school name), I believe I have come to understand responsibility, commitment, hard work and confidence, all of which I feel are qualities a head girl should have. I would like to say I’m an approachable person and that I set a good example for the younger students within the school and I have a willingness to listen and learn. I also feel I have the ability to work well within a team and welcome the idea of others around me.
Healthy eating, attitude and activities are just some of the issues I would like to address. I think all of these points could be slightly improved and adjusted. I would also love the opportunity to speak to you about getting students more involved with charity work, locally as well as overseas, not only is it rewarding to take part in but I think it helps with commitment, communication skills and becoming more self sufficient.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this letter, I hope you will consider me for this role, as I would love to have the opportunity to represent our school.
Yours sincerely
